About Klin Books
Klin Books provides bookkeeping software and accountant-operated bookkeeping support for Kenyan businesses. The available scope depends on the plan and any separately agreed services.
Accounts and access
You must provide accurate registration information, protect your sign-in methods, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. Access to each business follows explicit grants. You are responsible for people you authorise.
Records and confirmations
You are responsible for supplying complete and accurate source records, including statements, receipts and invoices, and for answering factual questions. Klin Books applies accounting controls to available information, but incomplete or incorrect records do not become correct merely because they were processed.
Service scope
Ongoing bookkeeping may include recording, reconciliation, reporting and preparation workflows within the agreed scope. Historical cleanup or reconstruction, payroll support, KRA tax preparation support and audit preparation are separately scoped. Klin Books does not provide statutory audit services unless expressly agreed through an appropriately authorised provider.
Tax and regulatory outcomes
Klin Books may support preparation and review, but does not guarantee a tax outcome, Tax Compliance Certificate, filing acceptance, regulator decision, or freedom from penalties.
Fees
Current pricing and any introductory offer are shown during purchase or agreed with you. Prices and plan features may change prospectively with reasonable notice. Work outside the recurring scope may require a separate quotation.
Acceptable use
Do not use Klin Books unlawfully, access another business without authority, interfere with the service, upload malicious material, or misrepresent records or identity.
Availability and changes
Maintenance, provider outages and other interruptions can occur. We may improve, replace or discontinue features while taking reasonable steps to protect existing records and communicate material effects.
Data and intellectual property
You retain rights in records you provide and permit Klin Books to process them to deliver, secure and support the service. Klin Books retains rights in its software, designs, documentation and service methods.
Suspension and termination
Access may be restricted for material breach, unlawful use, security risk or unpaid charges, subject to the applicable agreement and law. Ending service does not erase financial records immediately; retention and deletion follow the Privacy Policy and applicable obligations.
Responsibility
Each party remains responsible for loss caused by its breach, negligence or unlawful conduct as determined under applicable law. Nothing excludes liability that Kenyan law does not permit us to exclude.
Governing law, contact and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Questions can be sent through the contact link below. The effective date and version identify the terms presented for acceptance; material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
